I am an art photographer, graduate student, and college professor living outside Los Angeles, CA. My subject matter is anything that catches my eye. While I gravitate toward black and white photography, I do go on color binges from time to time. Being behind the camera has changed the way I see and respond to the world around me. As writer Annie Dillard says, “…beauty and grace are performed whether or not we will or sense them. The least we can do is try to be there.” I try to be there with my camera in hand.
The name “Redzenradish” is inspired by a haiku by Kobayashi Issa (1763-1828). It challenges me to see things newly no matter where I am as the smallest, most ordinary thing can become the vehicle for transformation.

Hi Kristina. Great gallery! Could I use your black and white photo called Words, with the scrabble pieces held in a hand? I am writing an article on the words we use. I will give you full credit, of course! Thanks kindly, Angela http://www.AngelaGGentile.com
