A Lily For Judy

A Lily For Judy

In memory of Judy McCabe, friend and photographer. Thank you for sharing your world through your lens, and for being the wonderful person you were. Your loss is deeply felt by many.

Judy loved shooting flowers, capturing their rich, vibrant colors. So today, I post this lily in color in honor of her.

The Unbearable Lightness of Reading

“You know, though, there’s a crack between reading and becoming. One thing is not the other. A seam, it seems, and here it’s brought to life. Through it we are aware again of light.”

Bowl of Eggs

Joe gave me an assignment this weekend. Since I mainly work with dark backgrounds, he suggested I shoot something at the other end of the tonal scale. He suggested a white bowl filled with white eggs against a white background. Working in lighter tones like this does have its own set of challenges, but the day was ideal for what I wanted to do….overcast sky with diffused light. A fitting image with the coming of Spring and an imminent Easter holiday.
